Centric Relation
Sustainable Diplomacy: Ecology, Religion, and Ethics in Muslim-Christian Relations Drawing on the disciplines of Islamic and Christian Ethics, International Affairs, Environmental Science, History and Anthropology, Sustainable Diplomacy: Ecology, Religion and Ethics in Muslim-Christian Relations is a highly constructive work. Set in the context of modern Moroccan-Spanish relations, this text is a direct critique of realism as it is practiced in modern diplomacy. Proposing a new eco-centric approach to relations between nation-states and bioregions, Wellman presents the case for Ecological Realism, an undergirding philosophy for conducting a diplomacy that values the role of popular religions, ecological histories, and the consumption and waste patterns of national populations. Sustainable Diplomacy is thus a means of building relations not only between elites but also between people on the ground, as they together face the real possibility of global ecological destruction.
International Relations and Global Climate Change by Urs Luterbacher, This book surveys current conceptual, theoretical, and methodological approaches to global climate change and international relations. Although it focuses on the role of states, it also examines the role of nonstate actors and international organizations whenever state-centric explanations are insufficient. The book begins with a discussion of environmental constraints on human activities, the environmental consequences of human activities, and the history of global climate change cooperation. It then moves to an analysis of the global climate regime from various conceptual and theoretical perspectives. These include realism and neorealism, historical materialism, neoliberal institutionalism and regime theory, and epistemic community and cognitive approaches. Stressing the role of nonstate actors, the book looks at the importance of the domestic-international relationship in negotiations on climate change. It then looks at game-theoretical and simulation approaches to the politics of global climate change. It emphasizes questions of equity and the legal difficulties of implementing the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol. It concludes with a discussion of global climate change and other aspects of international relations, including other global environmental accords and world trade. Relation (mathematics) - A relation is a mathematical object of a very general type, the generality of which is best approached in several stages, as will be carried out below. The basic idea, however, is to generalize the concept of a binary relation, such as the binary relation of 'equality' that is denoted by the sign "=" in a statement like "5 + 7 = 12" or the binary relation of 'order' that is denoted by the sign " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relation_%28mathematics%29 Asymmetric relation - Asymmetric often means, simply: not symmetric. In this sense an asymmetric relation is a relation, in particular a binary relation, which is not a symmetric relation. Dependence relation - In mathematics, a dependence relation is a binary relation which generalizes the relation of linear independence. Dispersion relation - The relation between the energy of a system and its corresponding momentum is known as its dispersion relation. For example, for massive particles in free space, the dispersion relation can easily be calculated from the definition of kinetic energy:
